A web site for RESEARCHERS AND STUDENTS: ALL NEW FOR JANUARY 2012
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this web site is to present the best, free resources in those subject areas that are the focus of programming and outreach by U.S Embassies, Consulates, or American Spaces overseas. We also hope that students and academic researchers everywhere will also find these resources to be useful.
The website The website was designed by IRO Stephen Perry, a State Department Public Diplomacy Officer for fifteen years, now with the U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana. The complete biography for Stephen is below, at the bottom of this page.

Biography:
Stephen Perry serves as Regional IRO with the U.S. Department of State, having served in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Washington, D.C., North Africa, and the Middle East; he joined the State Department in August 1998. He speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese, has studied Arabic, and is conversant in other European languages. Before joining the State Department, he was a University Professor from April, 1975 to August, 1998.
He studied Linguistics, and specifically Romance Linguistics, in Graduate School, with a specialty in word borrowing in the Romanian language.
